Screenings
Ages and Stages
This screening is an assessment procedure designed to identify strengths and delays in developmental areas.
This type of assessment can:
-
provide a useful child profile
-
help with program planning
-
identify targeted goals and objectives
-
be used to evaluate child progress over time
Parents will be asked to complete a screening at home.
Vision Screening
Children will receive vision screening once per year at CBCDC. We currently use SightSavers for vision screenings. These screenings can help to ensure that children are healthy and capable of seeing in order to learn properly. If a potential problem is detected, parents will have access to free or low-cost eye care.

Hearing Screening
Children will receive hearing screening once per year at CBCDC. We currently use Beginnings SC. Beginnings SC is a nonprofit organization, founded in 2012 and located West Columbia, SC. Their goal is to identify children and begin interventions that could prevent possibly years of lost language and brain development.
